Graham Troyer-Joy
(hey he's my son!) started his
first job as a Data Munger at Chicago
Data Solutions a web and
database consulting firm, and I
don't really understand
"exactly" what he did
(and I doubt that Munger is a
real word) but, I know he built
database applications and
his
boss
said he was good
at it. He followed his boss to
HighBeam Research
where he does more stuff I don't understand (programming in C#) for Encylopedia.com and other sites. I wonder how much his
Anthropology and Sociology major
from Knox
College has had to do
with it?.......... listen to Graham: WBEZ public radio interview
with Graham Troyer-Joy and two other recent grads. Hard Working: College Grads Seek Employment - Produced by Adriene Hill on Tuesday, March 03, 2009.......... did you know
that Graham was
President of the Alliance
for Peaceful
Action, a Knox
College's activist group?

Alone in Vietnam website Sept. 2010: I am working on this site for a book of personal
narratives by Robert B. Boyd Jr., a Vietnam Veteran who died last year. The stories all take
place in 1968 and 1969 beginning when he was drafted and inducted
into the U.S. Army. Rob tells about his experiences in boot camp and Advanced Infantry
Training at the notorious TigerLand center in Fort Polk, LA, and then
his combat experiences during his 365 days in South Vietnam. He was in the furthest north
military region, I CORP, near the DMZ. His final story is his return home
from Vietnam.
